About Our Training

Applicants are trained from "Nursing Home Ministry: A Manual," by Tom McCormick; from required reading, including "A Song for Grandmother," by Dorothy Miller; and from the experience of our chaplain trainer(s).

Training consists of weekly at-home reading and study assignments, as well as four to five sessions of group instruction. Training topics include:
